Roofing Material Used: Modified Bitumen Membrane System, DensDeck
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
Project Description:
This large-scale industrial re-roofing project for the Kerneos Industrial Building in Chesapeake, Virginia, involved the installation of a torch-grade modified bitumen membrane system over a primed DensDeck recovery board. The new roofing system was applied directly over the existing built-up roof with gravel, providing a durable and cost-effective solution that extended the roof’s lifespan while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. The modified bitumen membrane offers excellent waterproofing, flexibility, and resistance to temperature extremes—key advantages for protecting industrial facilities exposed to the elements. Because the roof sits approximately 75 feet above ground level, our team maintained strict compliance with all OSHA and VOSH safety standards, ensuring a safe and efficient installation process at every stage. The finished system delivers long-term reliability and superior protection for this high-performance industrial facility.
